The B2027 will reopen this weekend (28/29 August 2021).
Therefore all bus services using the B2027 between Bough Beech and Chiddingstone Causeway, including Metrobus 233, will be able to follow normal routes and timetables from this coming Saturday.
This also applies to school buses that resume next week, including Autocar service 210 from Brasted to Tonbridge Schools, and HC1 (now to be operated by Hams Travel) from Sundridge to Hugh Christie School.
The proposed extra minibus service for schoolchildren from Chiddingstone Causeway will not therefore be needed, as Metrobus service 233 will be running normally through Bough Beech, Chiddingstone Causeway and Penshurst then on to Bidborough and to Tunbridge Wells schools.
Metrobus have advised us that they are making changes to their whole network over a wider area extending into West Sussex over this coming weekend and that consequently it will take a few days for bus stop information to be updated to show the very late change to the 231/233 buses between Edenbridge and Tunbridge Wells. A fully updated timetable will be provided on the Metrobus website during the next few days, but in the meantime, should village residents wish to check their bus times for this or other services next week with the relevant company, the details are as follows:
Autocar (bus 210 including school bus from Brasted/Chiddingstone Causeway to Tonbridge) – 01892 833830 / email: email@example.com
Hams Travel (school bus HC1) - 01580 879537 / email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Metrobus (bus 233) - 01293 449191 / email: email@example.com / website www.metrobus.co.uk/servicechange (not yet updated with new timetable as I write this but should be updated by this coming weekend)
Go-Coach has reported that there will be no change to the 237 bus service.
